Bird Seismic Overview

Bird Seismic was launched in 1991, by Ken Bernstein who brought skills learned from working for large seismic contractors in the oil and gas industry in the 80’s, to engineering and environmental field surveys. The company originally focused on water exploration, for ranchers and mining concerns, conducting shallow surveys of less than 1000 ft.

By the mid 90’s they had branched into engineering and environmental surveys, and geothermal exploration of deep well targets. They now do extensive work in oil, gas ,coal, geothermal and all other types of seismic exploration in both 2D and 3D.

Quality seismic data acquisition is the first step in determining locations of subsurface features and resources.

Bird Seismic Services was started in 1991 to bring large scale and advanced techniques to the engineering seismic community. Our experience led to some of the first high resolution 3D seismic projects for engineering and environmental applications, on military sites from coast to coast in the US.

Now in 2017, we have 26 years' experience recording seismic data in all types of terrain in all types of conditions, in many different configurations for many different applications. We have recorded 2D and 3D data inside power plants, machine shops, office buildings, high-security areas, deserts, the Arctic, oceans, mountains, cities, from North to South America and the Caribbean.
